How To: Make Longboarding Slide Gloves

Slide gloves are an absolute necessity in the sport of longboarding. Without them, your hands are bound to get destroyed, and you are able to pull off so many more tricks it's not even fair. But finding a good quality pair of slide gloves for a decent price is a bit hard. Here in this guide you will show you how to create your own, great quality, gloves for less than fifteen dollars.

Here is what will be needed:
-Work Gloves (Leather Preferably)
-Industrial Strength Velcro
-Corian Tile Samples (2+) All of these items can be found at your local home improvement store. Don't hesitate to ask any employee at the store if you are having trouble finding an item.
-Scissors

Step 1: Cutting the Velcro

Align the Velcro with one of the Corian tiles and cut the strips accordingly. The strips should be about the same size as the tile. Cut both the rough and soft sides at the same time.

Step 2: Attaching the Velcro

Find a spot on the glove where you find it comfortable to have the puck/Corian tile. For most people that spot is in the center of your palm. Just try and see what works for you. Once you have made your decision, peel off the seal and attach the rough side of the Velcro to the spot on the glove that you are comfortable with.

After that has been done, attach the soft side of the Velcro to the puck/Corian tile.

Step 3: Attach the Puck to the Glove

Just attach the puck/Corian tile to the velcro on the glove and you now have a completed glove!

Step 4: Repeat Process and Finish

In order to make the second glove just repeat the steps that were used to make the first glove. That's it! You are done!
